Windows Media DRM is a Digital Rights Management service for the Windows Media platform. I have Linux Kernel 3.5.2 and was wondering if someone knows how to remove DRM protection from m4v and other popular file formats? Any kind of help.
Edit: just verified my method works using a CD-R, in that it preserved the Name, Artist, Album Artist, Album, Year, Track Number, and Genre tags of Flight of the Conchords' 'The Distant Future - EP'. I swear I've re-inserted burned CDs and iTunes remembered the info, though I guess it's a lot less fiddly if you don't even take it out! I think you can tell iTunes to burn a CD-TEXT, but I don't directly recall if or how that enters into the equation. Originally posted by Thomahawk: ^^ Hey, thanks, that's a pretty neat solution.
